How are we cared for? How do we care for others?

How can we be kind to ourselves and others?

Loving kindness (metta in Pali language) is the genuine wish that everyone should be happy.

The meditation on loving kindness was first taught by the Buddha over 2500 years ago, and it has been practised since then by people of many different backgrounds. It is a way of developing the love and kindness we all have so they become stronger. We learn to love ourselves better and extend our love to many more beings.
